To Penkridge - 8th August 2019

Roseford Bridge to below Penkridge Lock

We are used to the 10 o'clock rush, but this morning it was an hour early!  This was the second boat to go past us just as we were about to set off.

 Our guide mentions that Acton Trussel is overwhelmed by modern housing, but there are some nice ones bordering the canal

As we expected a bit of a queue at the first lock.  The boat ahead had such a large crew that no assistance was required.

 A splendid house just before Park Gate Lock with what looks like the poshest bird house on the side.

 As we were mooring up in Penkridge a boat emerged from the lock and commented to Chris that they enjoy the blog - if you see this, thank you.  I was too slow with the camera, but I think your boat is called 'One Day'?

 We are far enough from the lock and the pub to be in a very pleasant situation.
