The Droitwich Challenge!

Yes we are still alive and kicking and will be off again along the cut tomorrow.  It has been a long month, but health wise the break was needed and we are raring to go.

The day we reached Tewitfield I mentioned 'The Droitwich Challenge' as laid out on finger post in Vines Park Droitwich. We realise it is not a real challenge, but having reached all four places we thought it was worth noting if for no other reason than to show off the fabulous finger post.

The carving is beautiful and is a credit to Tom Harvey.  It points to the furthest places you can travel by boat north, south, east and west on the UK canal system.

We have now completed them all as follows:

Godalming 5th - 7th August 2015

and again 5th - 7th September 2017 - we had extra crew that day to help with mooring and holding the dog!

Llangollen - 10th - 12th September 2016

Brandon - 13th - 15th August 2018

and finally:

Tewitfield - for around an hour on 28th May 2019
