St Ives 22nd June

St Ives

A bit of a non sort of day.  I am sure from this photo you can guess what the main job of the day was - yes clean the roof! That did look pretty good when we had finished,

however there were many streaks left on the sides to deal with tomorrow when we hope to have a lower sided mooring.

That and a large Waitrose shop and a long Monty walk near to the GOBA moorings formed our day.  That said, it was obvious that something was going on by those moorings as as more and more pergolas began to appear as the day wore on (for more information see the next installment!)  In the early evening we walked round to the Town Quay (first time we have seen it empty)

where we found out a bit more about Chapel Bridge

It is our 45th Wedding Anniversary tomorrow (today by the time you see this!), so a special meal was called for - breast of chicken with mozzarella and parma ham in tomato and herb sauce for Chris,

and Filet of beef with king prawns in a creamy, brandy and dijon mustard sauce for me.  Both were served with a selection of mixed vegetables and sauté potatoes

The verdict from us both - very good and the Crème Brulée to follow was one of the best we have ever had.
