We missed the servants toilets, so maybe we will have to go back one day. The Guinness record sounds like fun. We will definitely see Jaq before she goes and I will certainly pass on a hug or two. Have a great Christmas and all the best for 2019 - when are you back cruising? At least you have the excuse of being too busy to blog - I don't!
David and I went to Shugburgh Hall a couple of years ago and took part in the Guiness Book of Records attempt (successful) of the number of people holding hands around a very very very large yew tree in the grounds. That of course took lots of time to organise and film, so we didn't get much sightseeing done. We did manage to look at the kitchens and laundry area and the stables with the old coaches of various styles. And the servants' toilets ... Very amusing and worth a visit too.
Next time, we will investigate the Hall itself as it certainly looks beautiful.
Have a lovely Christmas a deux. Big hugs, and one or two for Jaq from us if you see her before she heads back to the US.
Marilyn and David xxMarilyn, nb Waka Huiahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09485346080040799974noreply@blogger.com
